A founding member of the Tribal Harmonix electronic/live music dance community in Vancouver BC Sobey has a passion for the potential of this cultural movement. Through events he organizes such as the monthly Evolver Vancouver Spores, the annual Earthdance Vancouver, programming content for the annual new year retreat Intention, the 2012 countdown festival Entheos Summer Solstice Conference & Gathering Sobey has been forwarding the agenda to emancipate ourselves from the sinking Titanic of civilization and begin preparing for the new islands forming for the next age. Additionally Sobey has a life work vocation surrounding bringing rites of passage back into greater focus in the world and has presented on this on TEDx Georgia Strait and at workshops in conjunction with offering services worldwide.

This photo was taken one of my last days in Burkina Faso. The lady I am with was an employee of the organization I worked with ( www.semus.bf ). She was unable to get a job to support her family because she has AIDS. The SEMUS hired her to manage one of their shops which permitted her to support her family and pay for her medication.
