Luxury Hammocks for Home and Travel - Action Hero Network

Hammocks seen below are sewn in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada by Action Hero Network organizer, Cory Richardson.

The logo sewn on these hammocks is the Action Hero Network URL... a key into the action hero world. The tree is symbolic of the hero's journey. Our community, or network, is our roots. The hero, who can be any of us, rises up to branch out and take action-- growing through service and passion, spreading love, which returns to nourish the roots.

Profit from the sale of these hammocks is used to fund Hanging HUGS, a project of Stitch Uganda Together, creating free hammocks for Ugandans in need of a cozy, safe place to sleep.

Hammocks and clothing are currently being sewn in Bunabumali, Uganda with sewing machines we donated to Good Samaritan Orphanage and Needy school, for the benefit of that community. January 2010 we will start exporting these Ugandan hammocks to the world, which will provide employment for the community and fund the creation of an international cultural exchange Endless Summer Camp in Bunabumali, which will include a co-op permaculture garden, a camp ground with bamboo treehouses, and a play space called The Temple of Lost & Found.
